Glitch

Powers: Code Degeneration, Software Instability
System Slowdown and Failure

The trickster of the Dataverse! Glitch is a particularly malicious piece of malware. He is intent on jumbling and hijacking your data, and slowing your system down to a crawl or a complete halt, benefiting your competitors or serving his hacker’s agenda.

Powers:

Code Degeneration:

Glitch is a master of trickery and unpredictability. He possesses vibrational powers that can scramble a company’s data, rendering it useless and inaccessible.

Software Instability:

He manipulates your servers into generating nonsensical data, causing you to misinterpret data, resulting in your critical systems performing erratically, and at times dangerously.

System Slowdown and Failure:

Glitch can flood and overload systems to the point that they operate at a snail’s pace, or cease to work altogether, causing companies lost time and millions of dollars.

In June 2021, one of the costliest virus attacks in medical history hit Global Health Services. A private U.S. hospital care provider, which has more than 500 locations, was infected by damaging ransomware, know as the Glitch virus. The attack forced the cancellation of surgeries and made healthcare workers switch to paper records, and any hospitals that refused to pay the ransom were forced to rebuild their database systems from scratch.
